Travel-and-Leisure Only have a few days to spend on the slopes? Then why not just pack a bag, head to France and rent a chalet! Morzine is the ideal location for short breaks, due to its close proximity to Geneva International Airport, which is crucial when time is tight. In addition to excellent skiing, Morzine also has wonderful restaurants and exciting aprs ski. A Short Break Being that this is a relatively low resort (at 1,000 metres) it is much more accessible than its higher counterparts. While higher resorts do offer a better chance of snow, they can be three to four hours drive from the airport, whereas here it only takes about one hour from the airport to your chalet. Morzine has a variety of ac.modation and staying within the centre provides fantastic access to the ski lifts, shops and restaurants. Portes du Soleil Morzine is the largest town in the Portes du Soleil area and it provides visitors with access to over 650km of marked pistes with 200 lifts across 14 valleys in France. Its low altitude allows visitors to ski even in poor weather conditions and the terrain is ideal for medium to advanced skiers. Restaurants When leaving your chalet, Morzine has a variety of dining options that are bound to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Restaurant la Chamade: This is one of the oldest and most beloved restaurants in the region. The varied menu features authentic classics of the Savoy region including escargots and ballotine rabbit, and it also extends to include a variety of seafood dishes, pizza and even vegetarian options. La Chaudanne: Set in a cosy, chalet-style building, La Chaudanne is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner. The romantic atmosphere of the restaurant coupled with the Savoyard specialities has made this one of the area’s favoured restaurants. It is ideal for those looking to spend a romantic evening together, as well as friends who would truly like to experience classic French cuisine. Mels Caf: This is the ideal location for a low-key dinner. Serving scrumptious sandwiches, burgers, kebabs and pasta it is the perfect place to grab a quick bite. Apres Ski If youre looking for a bit of entertainment before heading back to your chalet, Morzine has a variety of different bars, which are perfect for aprs ski. Inferno Bar: Happy hour is from 4:30pm to 7pm everyday, making the Inferno Bar a huge hit with visitors. Entertainment includes beach night, quiz night, game night and live music. The Inferno Bar is certainly a wonderful place to kick back and relax after a long day on the slopes. BA Bar: With live music, large TVs playing sports and a DJ, BA Bar is certainly a great place to party. About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
